Are terrazzo and concrete steps slippery?

No, even though they are polished, their slip resistance coefficient goes up to R12, making them ideal for commercial and institutional spaces.
Can we add non-slip strips?

Should we glue or bolt them to the stringer?

Each case is different, and both methods are possible. In cases where bolting to the structure is necessary, anchors are incorporated into the concrete or terrazzo.
What is the minimum thickness?

For steps glued into a substrate on a closed structure and supported across the entire surface, we can go as low as 1-1/2 inches. For bolted steps, the minimum is 2 inches. Otherwise, each project is analyzed individually.
